Dr Natalia Falagán

Dr Falagán was appointed to the Committee in June 2019. She is a Lecturer in Food Science and Technology at Cranfield University working towards reducing food loss and waste. Her research is focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying ripening and senescence of fresh produce in order to develop innovative solutions (e.g., novel packaging, storage strategies). She has international experience in food production systems through collaboration with private companies and government funded research. Natalia is a Member of the Royal Society of Biology, Member of the Institution of Agricultural Engineers and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
